What are you carrying around these days: keys, phone, money, driver’s license, along with a few hangups, obstacles, frustrations? Everyone has baggage so it’s a concept we can all relate to.
We will first interpret Romans 6: 1-4 that challenges us to “die to self, live for Christ.” Then using a paper bag as a base, we will use various art materials to design the bag, inside and out. We will incorporate visual symbols, encouraging scriptures, related hymns, and our baggage that answers the question” What’s holding me back in my spiritual journey?” No art experience necessary! The goal is thoughtful reflection on our Lenten journey.
