In this Advent season, we ground ourselves in the everlasting hope of the anticipated arrival of God's Messiah, The Christ Child, even as we are mindful that the Risen Christ will come again to rule over all nations. Blue is the color of hope, as represented in our altar paraments and the candles on our Advent wreath.

Advent is a time of hope-filled anticipation and self-examination, to prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of God's Son Jesus, and also to look forward to Jesus' promise to renew Creation and bring all people into God's gift of eternal life.  As God's beloved baptized people, we live with one foot in the "already" and one foot in the "not yet," watching and waiting patiently for Our Lord.

Our Advent prayers give thanks for Jesus' arrival, and seek the Holy Spirit's wisdom as we look to our future in Christ and the relief of all suffering when Jesus comes to reign.

Advent family and individual home devotion booklets may be found on the table as you enter the Sanctuary.

All are welcome to all events and services.

Decorate the Sanctuary, Narthex and Fellowship Hall

Join us at 10am to Noon on Saturday, December 6th as we gather together to decorate our church  with Chrismon trees for this glorious season.

The Chrismon tree differs from the traditional Christmas tree in that it "is decorated only with clear lights and Chrismons made from white and gold material", the latter two being the liturgical colors of the Christmas season.  Chrismons often feature symbols such as stars, crosses, fish, crowns, and the alpha and omega. These symbols represent Christ's identity, the Holy Trinity, and his story.

December Birthday Celebration and Carol Sing-a-longs!

Sunday, December 7, we'll gather after worship for a celebration of December birthdays and enjoy some Christmas carols.
